We have been engulfed in a sea of minutae concerning what it would take to be sure we have an honest vote count using computerized voting and vote tabulating machines. Hundreds of people creating thousands of pages as to what will work and what won't. Hidden in those pages are both honesty and duplicity. The complications are profound, and unsolvable. Face it, we have to quit using machines in our elections. Period. Paper and Pen and nothing else except total public transparency.
There is only one way to assure that elections are not stolen. I don't want to sound like a Luddite, but we have to hand count paper ballots in public, in the precinct they were cast, as many times as necessary to get to the voter's intent. Otherwise, the elections will be stolen, just as they probably have been since 2000.
